I hate to go "off topic " but i'm interest in knowing what brand of air filter tube you guys are useing ? Although all are illegal here in Ca for my year I'm still gonna change it out. Thanks !!
ok here's mine. I KNOW it doesn't fit my screen name.....at all...but it will soon. It hasn't touched dirt yet, just once in snow.
I think i win the cleanest engine contest...or the worst looking one. Hopefully somebody is cleaner so i don't have to be this embarrassed.

Mine is a Rock-It from Quadratec. They are alittle more than the Rusty's ones, and Quad kinda shafted me, FWIW.

X2!! That's why I keep mine as clean as I do!! I have a high milage XJ, so I want to know as early as possible if something is wrong. Oddly enough, the only thing that leaks on mine is the power steering system. I plan on changing that all next winter, so that should take care of it. Later!!

C'mon, Blue, don't be jealous!! Carwashes and Engine Brite are cheap!! I have always heard that clean engines are happy engines!! BTW, I knew you'd chime in Stryker, I love your VC!! I may have to bite your style when I do my CCV, sorry, I can't help it, it looks sweet!! Later, keep it up!! Post pics KD, don't be scared!! Let the people see what the Big Boss Man's EB looks like!!
Thanks and theb VC was such a easy job for the amount of style it provides
ractive cone filter, $25
pvc piping, $5
2, 1/2 hose fittings ,$5
metal bracket, free(made out of scrap laying around)
there is some concern about the pvc being affected by the heat, but im gonna fab up some kind of heatshield either tomorrow or next weekend. so far so good, i only replaced it because the stock air box had cracks all over it.

yeah, so ive read on numerous forums. i changed the oil right after i bought it, and fram seems to be the only one available at most stores(walmart, canadian tire, etc).......next time im at a lordco or napa i plan on picking up something else for my next oil change.

One from the XJ....

One from the ZJ...

I only wash the engine if I am working on it....
And yes I know I am leaking oil... I need to do the CCV cleaning replacement and see if that slows down or stops my oil barfing. I REALLY don't want to do rings on a 195K motor...

I use FRAM. It's the only thing I can get for the Jeep with out having drive an hour or two somewhere.
