I have a 1992 jeep Cherokee that when i bought it it had damage to front passenger door from an RV backing into it and currently it leaks badly and I am looking for a way to fix it temporarily until I am able to replace the whole door and fender.

the gap between the door and the seal. continues up on the top part of the door

outside body damage.
Again just looking for a temporary fix.
thx for any help yall can give

Is the B pillar bent as well? I had a similar problem after I slid into a boulder. After replacing the smashed doors they wouldn't seal, my B pillar was tweaked a tad. Come-along and a tree fixed that.

You could toss some weather stripping in there. An oversized female fell into my opened door on my 95 and it wouldnt close right. And leaked bad. A 2x4 and a BFH fixed that. lol.
Now my 2000 has sprung a leak from the windshield. These jeeps just like to leak everything. Water/oil/antifreeze you name it. They leak it. lol

If it is only the door that is bent and not the pillar. Like sthon mentioned. You can open the window all the way and door open. Push the window frame in with your hand. What ever you do just push it in a little at a time until it closes. That should get you by until you can get a new door.
