leaking nss

Default leaking nss

i have transmission fluid leaking from the nut on my nss and i cant seem to find anyone else having this problem online so does anyone have any idea what it is? im assuming its the output shaft seal but i cant seem to find the part

The NSS has no fluid in it . The leak is coming from the shaft that turns the NSS. I personally have never been able to remove a NSS without break it due to all the salt used in the midwest. Maybe the leak will allow yours to be removed. Then the seal will need to be replaced. I would suspect the seal is a dealer or trans shop only seal.

most local transmissions shops should have that seal, or any dealer can get it for you.

when I've bought them, I simply call them transmission shaft seal. Thankfully my trans guy is much smarter than I am and usually knows what I'm talking about
