Default LEAKING
My transfer case is leaking a little oil out of the part where the drive shaft goes in. What could this be causing it to leak?

What year Chrokee? XJ Body Cherokee? What transfer Case? Any mods to the drive train?

Leaks are caused by bad seals and holes.

1988 jeep cherokee xj i know the transmission is a ax-15 so whatever transfer case comes with that. It's lifted with an extended driveshaft,

If it had a ax-15 swapped in, it should have a 231 Tcase. output shaft seal should be replaced.


IIRC, even if it still had a ba10/5 in it the tcase would still be a 231, but it had a different spline count.
