Alright guys i had previously fixed my oil pan gasket leak and was fine for a week or two....Then the other day i found another puddle of oil covering the bottom of my drivers side front tire and i could see that it was being slung all over the inside of my fender well.....Found out it's gear oil and looks to be coming out where my axleshaft goes into the axle does anybody know of what seal that is blown or why it would do that!?!?!?!?

Axle seal and they sometimes just wear out. Most I've seen are caused by U-joints wearing out, causing the axle to move around and wear/tear the seal..

Oh and if I recall(right) the seal is in the diff so you have to pull the carrier to replace it..

Thanks alot (this is the reason why i love this site) now if i dont replace the axle seals (im assuming theres 2 please correct me if im wrong) im guessing it would just eventually run out of diff. fluid right?!?!!

I think the driver side only has one(been a while since I had one apart.

The worst part isn't just running out of fluid, you can over heat and cook your bearings if it runs out. That can cause the front axle to lock up. The other problem is that when it's wet out or you go wheeling everything and any thing can get in there and kill the bearings and gears, making for a very costly repair..

Yep Driver side only has one...(*note* 4WD Hardware has very useful break down pics..)
