Default Leaf swap?

My leafs are flat and garbage, I got leaf packs from a 91 dakota, 2 questions, is it possible to just put the Dakota leafs on without cutting anything and would it give me any lift?

you can just cut the eyes off of them and put them on with your old ones and get bigger coils for up front. It will have some lift then

I guess what I'm saying is can I take the Dakota leafs AS IS and remove the Cherokee springs and bolt them up and expect a lift?

You need to reuse your main leaf. Use the others underneath the main and it will give you a lift.

Sorry no one is answering your question. Maybe you need to ask it differently.

Sooo....... Are the spring mounting points the same from the Dakota to the Cherokee?
Can he use them entirely INSTEAD of the cherokee leafs?

From what I've read they are longer, BUT the front eye to center pin distance is the same. You can probably squeeze them in but the rear shackle will be be pegged under the body not allowing it to work the way it's intended. I haven't tried it myself so I can't verify this.

I answered the question. You have to reuse the XJ main leaf because the Dakota main is different and the axle will be relocated and the drive line will be too short and the tires will rub.
