Gonna be replacing the rear leaf springs and shocks. I have read many posts on what to do after you break the bolts fastening these things, but I'm looking for tips to prevent this. Also, looking for a tutorial on upper/lower control arm bushing. I know there is probably a thread addressing this! Any help is appreciated.
PB Blaster/Kroil is your friend here, soak everything down, wait a couple days soak it down again. 99% chance the upper shock bolts will break. This is probably the #3 thread topic. Many different ways to remedy you will just have to search and pick the one that you feel you can do the easiest.

Probably.
But if you are prepared with a hammer and punch and new bolts it really only takes an extra 10-15 minutes to fish in the new bolts and be done with it. Takes even less time if you have an air hammer.

I ordered a set of these. Seems to have sold a lot of them. I just did leaf springs & when these arrive I will do shocks. PO had one shock welded on poorly it broke so I will try this http://www.ebay.com/itm/JEEP-CHEROKE...item2c5f6eb7ff
I manged to get my rusted shock bolts off mine like this. First I spent a week putting ATF fluid on the bolts. Second took a dremil and cleaned evey thing I could. I used a 3/8 drive and was VERY careful ,take it slow and You might get lucky. Good Luck .
