I'm trying to get the specs on Ranchos RS44178 leaf springs.
All the sellers and ads I've read give the length, lift, width... etc.
EXCEPT for the load weight.
What I have found is lbs. per inch.
So, anyone know the math formula to figure out how much weight these will be good for?
Part #RS44148
Rate lbs-per-in. 186
Flat Length 51.50
Arch (Free) 5.87
Eye Size Front 1.50
Eye Size Rear 1.50
Width 2.50
Thickness in Center 1.39
Center Bolt Offset centered
# of Leaves 5

The answer to this is, that is beyond the expertise of just about everyone on this forum. That depends on two things, whether the spring is single or two stage (flat leaf in bottom) and the length, width and thickness of each leaf. I have the books buried somewhere to do that, but the easiest thing is to call them and ask

The office was closed when I called but I got to leave them an email question.
Let's see what happens.
