Question Leaf springs

Leaf springs
What's a good set of leaf springs cost. Not only that. Do I need to stay stock(jeep only) or can I get another make. I have no lift what so ever and don't want any but I do need nee leaf springs. Mine are flat. No curve none zilch nada

Assuming no leaves are broken U could probably throw an Add-a-leaf at it and regain stock ride height....or so they say

A new set of springs from a Mopar Dealer are about $98 ea. They come in three different spring rates. (std. duty w/ 4.5 arch, Med duty w/ 5.5 arch, Hvy duty 6.5 arch, these where used on upcountry models.) if you look up http://www.xjjeeps.com they have OEM parts lists for your year jeep. With a little more looking around, you can find the original factory specs. That will tell how much the ride height dropped over the years.

i had a set of Qtec (crown) HD leaves and they gave me about 1-2" of lift. a bit stiff too, but they were HD. The OEM springs they sell should do you good.
Bastard packed with a stock set gives me around 5"

if they are straight, or arched down, then they are collapsed. i can tell you that add-a-leafs are definitely NOT the way to go here. my grandpa's car had collapsed leafs in the rear and right in the middle of our trip to the mountains it cracked and started breaking off. except that, i've never seen leafs break.
you need new leafsprings. get some OEM leaf springs for XJs with tow package.

Yeah, adding a leaf will only solve your problem temporarily because all your doing is adding the stress to the one leaf then. my leafs broke on my MG 2 days before the Woodward Dream Cruise.. broke leafs SUCK ,so get them replaced before they break on a very inconvenient time

Default I replaced my leafs a few years back

I replaced the worn and rusted OEM with new Crowns I ordered from Qu****tec.com, and a bunch of other related parts to fix my XJs sagging a$$. Tax plus shipping =$318. I didnt get much of a lift beyond the normal expected, maybe 1/2" but then I wasnt looking for height- I was looking to get rid of the slop in my suspension.

FYI Replacing all the bushings with new poly ones when I reassembled was the best thing I did for my comfort level. I had done the front-end version of this job 2 years earlier, so afterwards she drove like the day she rolled off the lot.

This is what I ordered:

2 56005 04 SHACKLE KIT-REAR 84-01 XJ 52000507 25.98
2 56010 10 LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY 84-01 XJ HD 4886187 129.98
1 76058 814 OE REAR BUSHING SET RED 1984-01 XJ KJ02008RE 44.99
2 56004 07 LINK-REAR STABILIZER 52001094 29.98
1 76058 894 SWAY BAR BUSH REAR RED PAIR 84-01XJ KJ05013RE 39.99
