Default Leaf spring clips/straps

Hey guys,

1 of the 3 clips/straps that holds the leafs together on each side of my rear suspension is broken. Anyone know where I can purchase replacement clips/straps?

I found this set on Summit. It looks like it would work, unless anyone has a better suggestion...http://www.summitracing.com/parts/exp-98-250b

Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about leaf spring clamps.

I'm not sure why you would have 3..

Yep, that's what I'm talking about. My Jeep has three per side. Is that not normal? This is the first Cherokee that I've owned, so I have nothing to compare it to.

you really only need 2 per side. One in front and one behind the u bolts.

Hmm..That's odd. I have two on the front and one behind the u-bolts. Now I wonder why. I'm the second owner of the Jeep, and my wife's mother was the original owner. I may be wrong, but I don't see her as the type to add extra clips. She also gave us a binder of service records when she gave us the Jeep and these are the original springs. Maybe Jeep made a change at some point?

Not unusual to find factory parts with small differences. Maybe those are from a different supplier (?)
I'll have to ask my brother, who was in management at the Jeep plant....

Chrysler used parts from various suppliers, like Saginaw steering etc

Honestly I wouldn't sweat it too much. These are a pretty minor part. Even if you didn't have any you wouldn't run into problems just driving on the road.
