Default Leaf spring arch?

Can anyone explain to me the arch measurements of leaf springs? I know not many people approve of AAL's, but I was planning on buying replacement leaf springs, and then buying an AAL. The Jeep I own as of now is not going to be the keeper. I just want something temporary until I can sell this one...and then of course buy a new Cherokee. There are like 6-3/8" Arches, 7" Arches, 5-1/8" Arches, 6-5/8" Arches, and 5-7/8" Arches. Thanks for the help.

Free arch is measured from an imaginary line between the center of the eyes to the top of the main leaf at the center bolt. The standard arch for a stock XJ spring is about 4"

So for every inch over 4, would be how much lift it would give me? 7 inch arch would be 3 inches of lift?

not exactly you need to do some research online before you will understand. there are sites that explain better. just because stock is a certain number does not mean that every inch extra will be equal to 1 inch lift

and your best cheap option for lift would be a bastard pack like a s10 or dodge van 2500 or Dakota then mix and match until you get the lift you are looking for
