Default LCA's limiting axle down travel

My '92 XJ has fixed, strait Skyjacker LCA's. When the axle drops all the way down the LCA comes in connect with the LCA/lower shock mount bracket limiting down travel. Has anyone ever trimmed the bracket to get a little more drop out of the front end??

Yep some have, some run the "bent" lower control arms others run drop brackets and some just say screw it and go long arm you have many options..

Gonna grind a little clearance in mine when I swap in the replacement front axle. Just don't take out to much and weaken the shock mount if you decide to do it.

I was thinking I'd just grind about 1/2" arch right over the LCA. That should give me the clearance I want.

Drop brackets would be really nice, but I'm thinking I might save a up for a long arm upgrade down the road. Probably well worth the extra $.

I ground my lower shock mounts for increased droop clearance when I installed my new Rough Country X-Flex Control Amrms. I beat the Jeep just like always and I've had no bending, crackng or any other failure with them. I can post a pic if you need it.

Yah, any pics would be great. I'm not sure yet exactly how I'm going to do it so seeing different ways is always helpful.
