Default Kudos To My Local Jeep Dealer !!!!!....

After installing my LCA's I was a bit beat up. Working in less than ideal conditions and especially laying on uneven rocky terrain doesn't do my old bones much good. On a whim, I shot down to the Jeep dealer (Scoville Meno in Sidney NY) and spoke with the service managers (Ken & Al) and asked if they could squeeze my in to swap out my track bar (which I already had). Surprisingly, they said sure they swapped it out in 1/2 hour AND washed it for a mere $40. Major score for me!

I would liked to have done this myself, but my aching back thought otherwise. I'm glad I listened....

My point is that not all dealers are bad and these guys have helped me out many times.....

One time they let me go back and ask the mechanics some questions about a job I was doing at home on my ex's Grand Cherokee. I was amazed they let me do this when they knew that the Jeep wasn't coming in to the service dept..

Another time my ex overdrew the checking account and I went to pay for a job they did. They let me take the XJ home and square the bill up the next day.... They've been awesome to me on so many occasions.....

Sounds like you have a good group of guys down there. I wish more of them were like that. I've also had good luck with my local dealership and the shop my family has done business with for years.

There are some good dealerships out there. I used to be into VW's, one winter the dealership let me store my GTI in their shop over the winter & even let me work on it while it was there. I've bought 3 brand new VW's from them since. What most don't know is it's the long lasting relationship they should work on with customers, not just "the sale" or "maintenance work".

We'll go back when my wife needs a new car in a couple years too. ••• Autohaus VW in Orchard Park NY ••• (if anyone local is interested)

Wish the Jeep dealerships round here were worth a crap though....
