Default Knocking/clicking

So I have a 1990 jeep cherokee 4.0, I've had for about 6 months. At this point there has been a clicking coming from between the engine and transmission for a while.. I'm about 99% positive it's the flexplate.. But aside from that, this isn't my issue. After work (5:30) I start up my jeep and let her warm up a bit.. All of a sudden there was a very loud clicking noise coming from the front somewhere but I was in a hurry and didn't take the time to find out exactly where.. As soon as I put my jeep in drive it went away. I started it up this morning no problem, so what I'm wondering is if anyone else has Experienced this? Also my jeep has 114,000 miles and does leak a bit of oil. Any kind of input would be cool! (I was also thinking it could just be the flexplate getting worse)

Remove the inspection plate and see if you have any rub marks on the back side. Then check the tightness of the torque converter bolts.

Ok thanks! I'll give it a try after work and see what I come up with. I'm just hoping it's nothing to serious

Me too. Let's start with the simple things first.
