hello jeep peeps:

i got knocking inside vavle cover, it sounds like its coming from the 6th cylinder or the farthest from the radiator. just that one only. all others are quiet. it comes and goes. i changed the oil and oil filter and also added engine flush before oil change.......would anybody know whats this noise. the oil i put in is 10w-30.....but i live in guam and the weather here is 80F to 95F year around....would i need a thicker oil or the oil i put in is fine......or do i need to adjust that one tappet clueless..............

any help would do..........

pull the valve cover and take a look. if you see something wrong, fix it. not tryin to be a smart a$$ at all but thats all there is to it. if you do have a loose rocker on the number six cylinder. it could be a lifter or it could be a cam lobe worn down.

 

sounds like a sticky lifter to me. If it was a loose tappet or anything loose for that matter it would most likely do it all the time.
