I've been worried about my 4wheel drive for months and today i was driving to school and i kicked it into 4wheel, it was icy. when i turned i heard a knocking or clicking nose from my front end, not loud at all but i could hear it. i was woundering what could cause this and if anything is broken. Check axle and shaft u joints, check the vacuum disconnect.

 

have you looked yet ? Check the u joints... bushings.. and stuf..

axle shafts u joints (in the knuckles) and drive shaft u joints...
