So i went to shut my jeep off this morning and the key wont come out. I also noticed that it wont lock into park. I checked the white bead things inside and they seem to be fine. Anyone have any ideas with what could be the problem? Thanks

 

My sister-in-law got the door key to her Cherokee stuck in the driver's side door the other day. I tried shooting oil into the lock and finally resorted to using a pair of pliers to pull it out. It turns out the key had cracked and was nearly split in half. The act of turning the key had twisted it enough that it jammed in the lock. Thankfully it's in still in good enough shape to get a new one made.

 

I guess I should rephrase my self. Its more that my ignition wont turn all the way back to allow the key to come out

 

You tried pushing the shifter forward?
In mine I have to push the shifter forward to turn the key back past "off".

 

It could be your NSS I think it doesn't let you take out the key if it's not in park I think theres a way to check It but I don't remember search it and you might find it
