Angry Key stuck in lock cylinder, on rear hatch.

So tonight after doing some army stuff. I get home and decide to just lock my gear in the jeep. Never had an issue with the lock. I put the key in to lock the hatch, it locks and unlocks but I can't get the key out. Pulled pretty hard but I really don't want to risk breaking the key in the lock. any tips for this would be great. In the morning I'll try some WD-40 and see if I can get out again.

No WD-40 use Graphite instead for locks much better.

Was going to suggest WD-40 or Pb blaster, it must be hung up on one of the tumblers or something. Spray the WD-40, wait a few seconds and then try jiggling the key around. I would keep trying with that and see what happens. Also try tapping the lock cylinder with something blunt like the back of a screwdriver to maybe unstick the tumblers.

Agreed on the graphite, but use what you have. I've had stuck and even frozen lock cylinders that I used WD-40 on with good results.

Yeah, I got it out used a combination of WD-40 and a magnet, I think the magnet may have freed up the tumblers after hitting it with WD-40. anyways got the key out and it seems to be working a lot smoother now. Thanks guys!
