Default Key Buzzer?

Can I search and destroy the buzzer that is a constant annoyance when the keys are in the ignition and the door is open without affecting anything else? Am I right in the assumption that this is tied to the power locks? I was searching online and came across something to that fact. I want to know if it is true. Can I disable the buzzer without disabling anything else? I am about to install an aftermarket key-less system so i want my door locks in working order, but I really want the buzzer GONE.

Nope, it just won't tell you you left the lights on or anything.
