How about feedback on the K&N in the stock airbox, pro's and con's.

Better then stock filter add a snorkel and now you are talking.

A snorkel is your best option for a CAI. I agree with Brutal, combine a snorkel and a K&N and you've it made.

Cotton gauze filters allow more dirt to pass. Stock filter will flow more air than the engine draws in 99.9% of driving conditions.

the only real benefit is you can wash and reuse the filters.

+1. Check out THIS test. The K&N tested got beat up pretty bad in terms of how much grit it was able to sequester and how much it allowed to pass. The K&N did flow a lot more air than the others, but as they say, there is no such thing as a free lunch. :-)

Be sure to read the numbers... the bargraphs are skewed and misleading.
