Made a run to the JY today, TONS of cherokee's. I think I saw about 4 '98 sports, 7 or 8 grand cherokees, and a handfull of other cherokees

This was my first trip to pull parts, mostly looking for springs to lift my XJ. I learned a good lesson... My tool box sucks.
I did have a spring compressor, so that helped a little bit


I ended up with a set of springs off a grand cherokee (I6). I think it was a '97.

Also a few other small things I have been wanting to get:
new cover for the front side turn signal
latch for the center console
a switch cover that I can mount a new fog light switch into

Now I just need to find time to install it all

I should also add that there was a truck there with a full set of Rancho 9000 shocks. If I knew that they would fit on a jeep I would of grabbed them. they looked like the right style

 

You should have gotten the springs out of a V8 equipped ZJ instead of the 6 cyl. ones. Good scavenging regardless.
