I order the console bracket off ebay and it worked great. Console is SOLID now. amazingly solid! If your on the fence about changing it, its the real deal!

Just plastic. Who really knows how but it does.
Was buying Jeep parts from this guy and he had the metal bracket that you buy when the plastic one breaks.
Noticed it on the way out and asked what he wanted for it. He said $20. Knowing they were at least $40 grabbed it.
I always thought that my console was nice and secure.
But I had to pull the console to run the heated/power seat harness I was installing in my XJ.
Sure enough.
Was so glad I had it. LOL.
