Just installed my new injectors should they slide up/down?

Got the Bosch 0280156161 installed and it went too easy so something got to be wrong somewhere as always when it goes easy on my XJ. Noticed that I can slide the injectors up/down between the rail and intake while its bolted down about 3-4mm and yes the rail is bolted all the way down. Is this common? Thanks!

Came with new o rings, this is up/down motion not side to side. They are snug in the bores just not bottomed out hence the up/down movement. Took it for a spin and no leaks will say this its more responsive.

Well just found out this...Units move around due the slot for the clips on the injectors being at a different height than the original units. Meaning the injectors can't be locked into the rail like the originals. That's not an issue as long the injectors create a "seal" at the intake so there are no vacuum leaks. Also once the rail is bolted down the injectors have no way of popping out from the rail itself. The fuel pressure alone will always keep the injectors pressed in against the intake ports....makes sense strange thing is all the clips I watched on YouTube everyone pretty much mentions you cannot use the clips but no one mentions the play...guess due to fact this got installed too easy I knew something had to be wrong since nothing goes as planned on my XJ..lol
