ya i just installed the RE 3.5 on the jeep with my buddy in alittle over 5 hours (NO POWER TOOLS!) even though we had them but didnt want to break any bolts....turns out we did anyway. The back shock upper bolt were rusted and snapped so i got the local 4x4 shop re-doing them (hurt my pride) but our homemade brackets didnt work and i didnt feel like paying to refill my welding tank so...ya and their throwing on some shims cuz i got vibes on the takeoff and alittle intermitent grinding/rubbing sound coming from mid-jeep when i let off the accelerator anytime after 30mph but just throwing that out there if it helps anyone. but ya check the pics out and ill be posting more after the shocks/alignment are done tom!

how do you think that thing would have looked with that lift and the stocktires/rims that were on it.?

looks great man. just did my lift this past weekend on my 98 and i have the same exact vibes at the speed u discribed and same noise.
ya 98jeepjeep- i think that lift will the stock tires would have been alittle mismatched only becuz, as most have said before, the lift right when you put it on is closer to 4'' until it settles so i would just go with 31's. besides it just gives you a bit more clearance...ok so on to what the deal is currently and why my jeep is in the shop. so the only thing me and my buddy had a problem with was the rear shock bolts snapping so i had the pros take care of it along with the alignment...turns out also i didnt drill my old trackbar so my whole axle was about an inch to the left so there taking care of that but ya thats the deal so far but thanks for the comments about how it looks!
oh and Rob there putting some shims on for me to try and get rid of that vibe so if they work ill let you now what size.

That noise you guys are hearing might be the yoke on your rear driveshaft. Mine was rubbing and it snapped a t-case in two. If you hear a few thumps as you start to drive then that is what it is. You can grind down the yoke a little and you should be fine, but definently check and see if that is your problem.
hey tampa, ya ended up throwing a 3/4'' tc drop on there and it took most of the vibes and grinding noise away but its still there alittle while decellerating anywhere from 55-30 mph. I basically put the drop on there to buy me some more time until i get a SYE but how bad can it mess it up if i go too long? i mean ive heard guys driving around with vibes and that for 6 months to a year so i just want to know how high on my priority list it should be, thanks
