Alright guys i just purchased my 2001 Cherokee Sport.. it has 96k and is amazingly clean. Not a single ding, paint is perfect, interior is immaculate. Under the hood is clean. Brand new tires are being put on it so nothing needs to be worked on right away..

But i noticed the stock sound system wasn't quite up to par

First thing i am looking to do is put new speakers or subs in the trunk, could anyone give me some good suggestions on what to get, would like to spend around $300 for car audio, I already have a deck in.

First thing I did with my 01' classic was change the speakers. I got one set of polk audio 6 1/2 for the front doors and one set of polk audio 5 1/4 for the rear. I got them on-sale buy one set get one set half off so i spent $150 on the whole deal. I used them for about 8 months before getting my sub to add in a little more bass, but without the sub i still have decent bass and my speakers have never crackled with distortion.
