Default just bought her a couple of problems

ok there was about 4 big things wrong with it, 1 being that it doesnt like to start when its cold u have to sometimes spray some starting fluid in the intake and then it runs fine? It has power steering when u turn to the left but it does not have much assistance to the right? 4wd doesnt engage it will go in to the positions on the lever but the front wheels however it will go into 4low but only the back wheels are affected in 4low, and well i fixed the tranny it didnt want to shift out of first but it was the tcu. anyway i would like to get some help on the 4wd since there is snow on the ground here about 5inches and it dont like to get through it that well so help is very much appreciated.

Hey best bet is to put it on jack stands and see if someone can look underneath, if you put it into 4wd and your front driveshaft moves than the problem is most likely the vacuum actuator on the front axle. Make sure its not just a broken vacuum line running from the actuator to the rear of the transfer case.

well the heat works if i hot wire it to a 12v source btw i got the 4wd to work and wow a night and day difference lol, this is my first truck i have had 27 vehicals and this is my first jeep. But ive always wanted this kind except for it to be a 2dr but 4 is fine. I love it but still have a problem with heat and the shifting cuz i got 2 of those tcu's and no difference well one of them does not even fit the plug so is there a certain year i need one off of? Also the problem with the heat is that the fan speed dont work, the only thing that does is the control for vent and heat and defrost. so thats my problem there obviously isnt any power going to the fan control or the wire going to my blower motor any ideas??

SInce it is a 87 sounds like you need to raid a JY and start doing some part swapping. there are 3 soleniods above the filter in the AW4 may help ya with your tranny problem.

Does yours have a disco axle? Both my 87's have non-disco axles.

Try bypassing the heater control valve. You may have faulty valve, or a vacuum line that is disconnected. HTH!!

Heater core is still probably stopped up. I wonder if anyone ever used radiator stop leak in this vehicles history that could be the problem.

Never use Stop leak lol.

Did you get power to the blower motor yet? It sounds like if your hoses are hot then you do have circulation through the heater core.

One with a polyester suit and likes KC and the Sunshine Band...Some even have a mirrored ball on them...

But seriously, it's a front axle with the vacuum engagement to lock the right axle in to drive it...
