Default Junkyard wheels won't fit!

Finally getting rid of my steel wheels. I thought these alloys were stock for my Cherokee but when I took them down to the local fly-by-night used tire store they couldn't get them on - too tight in the center. I suspect it's the rust on the caliper. There was tell tale anti-seize around the center which makes me think the steel wheels were tight too. I'm getting out the wire brush wheel tomorrow to see if I can get them to slip on. May give the wheel center a little scrubbing too. Anyone else had this problem?

The wheels in the picture are factory Cherokee wheels so they fight without a doubt. It could be the rust that you say but that honestly sounds weird from the tire store you went to.

Take em home. Remove a wheel from your Jeep and see what's going on. Could be as easy as cleaning some crud off.
