Is this really a tech question? BTW you could have purchased a brand new headlamp bulb for $9.99 @ Advance Auto.

Where is the fun in that?

I have 2 junkyards within like 100 miles of me, one of them is basically a recycler so you have to get there pretty much the day that it comes in or its chopped up and melted down. The other is pretty decent because the owner is usually pretty hammered most of the time so you can score a pretty decent deal. Picked my engine from a 94 from him, heard it run and got it for 200$. I remember as a kid going to the JY with my dad, it was just plain old fun. Seeing all those cars lined up in rows, everyone having a story and a family. I have been hitting up the local JY lately looking for D44 stuff. No great deals as of late tho. Keep up the good work!

Time to find a new yard to visit.

I just found a JY,it's been here 12 years & I never heard of it.Funny thing is,it's in my backyard-almost.

It helps to ask where other yards are.

Be happy that you can go to jy to pick up parts. Here, if they maybe get in a XJ they will carge you $1000 for a complete D35, $500 for a D30 without drivshafts and outer knuckles and brake disks, $300 for a door and so on.
I wish I could go to a jy and find cheap parts or a D44, C8.25, or a 8.8 rear axle, but here is only Japanese or European P.O.S. cars.

moved from so cal to here 6 yrs ago, this place has NOTHING in regards to a Pick-A-Part, out here you can't pull it yourself you have to go up there and get reamed while they pull it for you..

a guy could really score if he opened up a pull your part yard out here...

I sure miss that, I learned a lot by screwing up JY cars
