Ok i have a question. I have a 1989 jeep Cherokee and sometimes when i hit a bump the front of my jeep shakes for a few seconds and stops.... its getting worse. My steering is loose, is there a way i can tighten it or fix the shake, or what do i do, and whats going on?

ok ill check it. What am i going to be looking for? just the bar loose, or the tie rod ends egged out? or what?
yes check all sterring components for play, also check bushings of they are worn out replace them! i replaced 2 lil tierod end bushings the otherr day and it cured my DW completely!
if the box is loose internally there is a nut on the top you need to loosen and the threads that the nut bolts to has an allen head, tighten down the threads with an allen wrench and tighten the nut back up. More than likely though your ball joints are worn. Have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth and you can see where the play is in the steering.
Jack up your front end and check for play on your ball joints and hub/unit bearings.
Grab tire at 12 and 6, try and move the tire back and forth. If there is any play its ball joints.
Grab tire at 3 and 9 try and move in same fashion, If there is any play its your hub bearing. HTH
