Default Jet Chip

I have been looking at the stage 2 jet chip for my 95 but it says it requires the use of a 180* thermostat. Anybody have an idea why a lower temp thermostat would be needed?

Bc it is suppose to provide a "denser air/fuel mixture". I wouldn't waste your money on it though. I have a stage 2 and it isnt worth the money. Mine came with my jeep so i left it on. It also says your suppose to run 93 octane fuel.
