Jerking in steering
I test drove a jeep, and the guy said it turns like old wranglers. I have no idea what he meant. But it was very jerky/jumpy while turning left and right. Not much for noise tho. I could feel it in wheel and through out the whole jeep.
any help would be great.

probably front axle shaft u-joints. or it was in 4wd.
what kind of jeep? some grands are full time 4wd and does this when the viscous coupler or front cv shafts crap the bed.

It is called bump steer. It is usually caused by the track bar and drag link not being at the same angle. Also, if the steering components are loose, as in bushings wore out or bent drag links or tie rods.
