Hi guys, I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee XJ with just over 230,000 miles now, all stock besides some basic quirks. I am having an issue with a fairly large draft of air that seeps through under the dash on the passenger side; it is coming through the area with all of those gizmos and plastic shielding that is "hidden" directly under the glove box.
I am positive it is coming from the outside, and the draft gets worse with higher speeds.
Any ideas?
or threads you can refer me to, I have found nothing so far...

I would say it might be in the fire wall near your blower motor or where your heater hoses go through the fire wall. I would also look underneath at the floor and see if you have a rusted floor panel. Other than that I have no idea! Good Luck!!

Alright thanks...
Well my Floors are in good shape, and the heater motor area looks pretty well sealed off...Where exactly are the heater hoses located?
Anyone else have any ideas?
Is it possible air is coming through the hole that the antenna cable goes through? anyone heard of this..?

Well Don't really have the problem pinpointed. It seems like a mix of the heater hose area (the insulation foam that has shrunk over time)
And the Antenna cable mount in the fender needed some silicone. Hopefully that solves my problem, haven't had a passenger to test recently ha.

Being that this thread is from 2011, I doubt you'll find the answer you want here. I will leave you with this, there is the intake vent under the cowl, on the passenger side, that feeds the heater core inlet. The seal there is known to rot away and leak water or allow cooler air to get in. It will most likely be that issue, or you have a rust hole somewhere in the firewall or floor. If you need better clarification or a better answer, please feel free to start a new thread in the XJ Stock Tech thread. Good luck.
