Jeep xj 2.5 td stalling while downshifting from 5th gear

Hello, my 1998 jeep cherokee xj 2.5 diesel stalls without warning when shifting from fifth to fourth gear and sometimes when in neutral from fifth gear. Have any of you had this problem? Maybe someone knows the solution.

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body and the idle control motor ?
