Give us more clues... What did you change? Is it getting spark? Is it getting fuel?
And so on...

Are you getting spark and/or fuel to the plugs?

I was having similar problems. Changed the crank positioning sensor and fuel pump and didn't help. I ended up changing the coolant temp sensor and the intake air sensor(charge air sensor to some parts stores). Now all is well. Go figure. i thought it was bad gas after the fuel pump and cps but I emptied the tank and refilled still was dying out and wouldn't restart. Is your check engine light on? Have you used a code scanner?

You need to check for spark by removing one of the plugs. Do you know how?

Mine is a 96 as well. I bought the sensors mentioned earlier and didn't know I needed pigtails. I thought they were the wrong sensors at first, Just saying in case it comes down to replacing them.
