Default Jeep sputters after upgrading fuel injectors

I just upgraded to the 4 port Bosch fuel injectors and I noticed after a week of driving it will stutter and makes a popping noise when I hit the throttle to accelerate on the highway and if i'm mid gear in city driving. Not sure if its too much fuel or not enough thats causing the problem. Any help would be great.

I'm not sure if its that. It idles fine, and it seems like it only works when it wants to. Sometimes I'll hit the gas hard and itll take off, and others itll just sputters and knocks.

I had the same problem. Turned out I mixed up two of the injector plugs. Look up the diagram on Google for your year jeep and check it.

Injector wire color code, 87-90

LITTLE BALL, LONG GREEN, TEE YOUR WHITE BALL...................................

Light Blue, Light Green, , Tan, Yellow, White, then Black are the injector wire color codes for Renix.
If you know the pair in the middle is right, you only need to check one on each end.

I made that up for 90. There were big changes between 90 and 91 though.

Bosch makes at least 100 injectors. I guess there is a reason you didn't post the number on the side? 280 *** ***

Sounds like a problem I ran into with a set of ebay injectors and ended up one of the injectors was bad. The engine would idle just fine but while driving the ECU would try and compensate by running rich...then would coat the O2 sensor with carbon and the 02 would lean out the mix...then the engine would start to spit under load. If I kicked the throttle it would smooth out for a while. Pull the plugs and check for carbon or excessive fuel. May indicate a missing injector or bad connection. My .02
Hope this helps and good luck~ keep us posted.
