Default jeep sputter question

ok my jeep sputters. well makes a sputtering noise at idle. the rpms dnt jump up or down. it idles fine. its just the noise of a sputtering or puttering when its just idling is killing me. ive replaced spark plugs and distributor cap. when driving its fine and it doesnt throw any codes. the puttering sound is only under the hood too. i just want to fix whatever it is because it is very annoying.
