Hey guys, ive done some searching on here and some other forums, finding nothing...

My jeep had been starting slowly the last few weeks so I had it checked but nothing abnormal about it. It was starting fine for a few days after having it checked and now it wont start, wont do anything, not even trying to turn over.

When I open the door, all the lights inside come on and when I put the key in while the door is open it makes that annoying noise it always does but when I turn the key it does NOTHING!!!!

I thought it may have been the battery... replaced it, still nothing.

Any ideas!? Please!?

Tried starting it in neutral?

 

NSS is probably bad so that will need replacing, cleaned or maybe it got knocked loose.

 

I'd suggest you put the key in the 'run' position, ebrake ON, gear selector in Park.. now open the hood and use a short screwdriver to 'short' the starter solenoid to battery connections(see pic) Expect some slight arcing and assume your engine is going to start. So watch for moving parts. If the starter spins the engine, your problem is either the NSS which Loganfwx suggested above.. bad NSS interrupts volts to starter, but may work ok in neutral or wiggling the shifter a bit while cranking.. OR your ignition switch has gone bad.. again, interrupts power to starter. If your starter did NOT work, then a new starter would be my guess. Let us know
