Okay guys, ive been living the hard life with a 2wd xj. Its a 96 and i love it to death just wish i could wheel it. The other night i was approached by a man selling a black 2door 96 4wheel with mud tires. For ... wait for it ... ONLY $800. Im going to look at it today after school at 2:30. WHat do i look at to see if its any good? I know cooling system and under carriage.... im so excited!!!

 

800? I'd buy and hit the trails. That's a fair price around here.

 

I know , he came to me asked me how i like mine then said he was selling it cheap. Runs and drives. I just wanna make sure i dont get a clunker.

meh, it's an $800 Jeep. I would be more concerned with the trans and TC, even if the engine is crap you can always convert your current 2wd to 4wd using the parts off it.

 

owners says its in good condition just has like 8 cars

 

Runs? Clean title? Not rusted? $800 ? You could use as a trail rig and keep your 2wd xj for daily driving. But expect no carpet, headliner, cigarette burns, probably leaks oil, might need a motor, engine, tranny and t case rebuild . Meh.. 'sup to you man.
