Default jeep grand cherokee heater not working

I have a 99 grand cherokee. My heat is taking way too long to get even a little warm. I need help diagnossing the problem. Any ideas?

If your temp is too low, change the thermostat.

The truck warms up fine its just the heat. Im gonna check the thermostat tomorrow just to be sure

I was also thinking heat control valve?

If your heater control valve is working properly, it probably is a clogged heater core. Make sure both heater hoses are warm. If they are, make sure your heater control valve opens when you turn the heat on. If one hose is cool, flush your heater core.

Hold on.. '99 Grand cherokees don't have heater control valves. See if both hoses are hot.
