Default Jeep going downhill

hey guys
so i wanna start by telling you that my jeep has slowly been getting worse and worse. At first my jeep just stopped starting and i lost my reverse lights. Figured out it was the neutral safety switch. From that point forward i was just starting it in neutral and that worked fine. A couple weeks ago it started having an issue starting while in neutral. I get in it and i have to try to start it like 20 times before it even starts to crank. i turn the key all the way and it does nothing. Thats not the really problem here. About 40 minutes ago i was on my way to my college final and my GEN light came on and my belt started squeaking like crazy. Also there was a loud buzzing coming from the front end. I shut it off and buzzing didn't stop. I started it right back up and it started doing the same thing GEN light, belts , loud buzzing that sounded like a motor (not the engine). so i had to turn around and drive about 5 mph back to my house and i started smelling something really bad. it smelled terrible and i have no idea whats going on. I got home and realized that my plow control stick was up the whole time i was driving. So my plow system was already up up and without realizing i left the control pad on. Could the smell be the hydrolics burning? Why the hell did my GEN light come on and my battery levels drop?
