could be front pinion bearing. does it change or go away when in 4X4 and accelerating, etc. Have seen ring and pinions go bad and transfer noise/vibration through driveshafts and make you think it is a tranny, etc.

You'll have to try and isolate as best as you can. Put it up on blocks, start disconnecting things, and chart out sounds keeping track of where it's coming from. Approach out using the scientific method lol

Default Almost solved!

Alright, so we are almost positive we have it pinned.
Took it to a guy that specializes in drivetrains on vehicles.
The angle of rear driveshaft is pretty bad, the driveshaft is barely on the output shaft of t case. short about 2 inches.
Now my next question is, can i just get a SYE? i have to replace output shaft anyway, it's bent.
I'm planning on getting a 6.5 LA lift soon. so i'll prolly need it eventually.
and what driveshaft? same one? Thanks for all the input!

Alright, well i called up Tom Woods and talked to them, I'm just going to end up getting a SYE and longer driveshaft from them.
Thanks again for all the input.
