Just wanted to let everyone know my xj's running good today. And a high five to AMC for making it all happen.

Mine is running great for a jeep with 146k miles and minimal maintenance. Starts every day and takes me over 60 miles a day. What else can you buy for 3k right now that looks this good.

Same here! My 1992 with 250K miles runs like a top. Previous owner didn't replace squat or replace fluids so I did all the maint when I bought it a few years ago.
Although I did replace my water pump and it DID run like crap until I hooked up the temp sender wire that I disconnected.
Runs like a sewing machine still!
Hands down the BEST vehicle I have ever owned.
1984 Cherokee Pioneer 2.5L (Ran great and got me through the worst snow in years in 2007ish) Sold as I bought a newer 86 XJ.
1986 Cherokee Limited? 2.8L (Fun! 5 speed. Traded in for my '99)
1990 Cherokee 4.0L (Deal on Craigslist. Bit of tuneup and sold for $$$)
1992 Cherokee Sport 4.0L (Still have! You will have to pry it from my cold dead hands)
1999 Cherokee Sport 4.0L (Laid off and had to sell. I miss the old girl)

Checking in from SWFlorida. Jeep isn't starting. I'm a little concerned with the ignition system on these trucks, it appears whenever I place the key to the "RUN" position, I get no crank or no start.... oh wait, I was using the house key. Silly me.
All good here.

My '98 4x4 w/189K mi starts and runs like new. I wouldn't hesitate to get in and drive it anywhere I wanted to go.
The only vehicle I've owned that I liked almost as much as my '98 XJ is the '85 2wd XJ that I owned some 15 yrs. ago.
XJ's ROCK!!

126k driving 100 mi a day. Just got it inspected and was told they would be lenient, but they didn't need to be. When all was said and done I was told I have a great looking jeep for the north east.
