Jeep cranks but won't start
Alright, I am new to this forum and a new jeep owner. I have a 97 Cherokee Country 4.0 that I bought for cheap. It ran for a couple weeks but now it won't start. It cranks and cranks but won't turn over. The oil pressure gauge, voltage gauge and fuel gauge have also stopped working. I've replaced the crankshaft position sensor and the ignition coil. I also tested both the old and new ignition coils but neither one was showing a spark to the distributor. I have also verified that it does have fuel pressure and the fuel pump is working. The battery terminal connections are also clean and secure. I also went around and cleaned the main grounds. My guess is that it must be an electrical issue somewhere but I don't know. Any suggestions/ideas???

if you've tested most all the stuff you say and replaced the crankshaft posiiton sensor and ignition coil.
did you replace the crankshaft with an good oem part or one of the aftermarket ones from the auto stores, think best results are a mopar one, i have heard others say the aftermarkets ones fail real quick.
now i am not a mechahic but i had a very similar problem.
replaced the same parts you did, everytime i replaced a part the jeep ran like a champ for the first day then the next same thing would crank and crank but not start.
others might have better advice but and i am not sure how you can check the parts but
i'd look at a couple of more parts
the ignition coil pickup some call it the cam sensor and there are other odd names for it, which makes finding them at the stores hard. thats the part i think that eventually did it for me, going on 3 months no problems with the jeep starting and running.
however at the same time i replaced that i also replaced
the distributor cap
the rotor
and spark plug wires.
