Default Jeep Chevy Combo

Hey Guys I know I'm new here and about to commit blasphemy to all Mopar lovers like myself; but I am in process of getting all the parts together to convert my 95 Cherokee 2.5L into a 95 Cherokee V8 283. I'll grab pictures and try to write up a post as I go through the process.
Other than "DON'T DO IT" does anyone have any suggestions? Its happening the wife already said OK!!

Why I'm changing engines.

I have a suggestion. DEFINITELY DO IT and take lots of pics. I would love to put a SBC in my XJ but, I can't finance a project like that. I will enjoy reading your write up, though.

383 is way to big for a usable jeep unless it in the sand

Hey Mike, you may want to invest in 4 point harnesses and Anti G suits for your XJ if you throw that 383 chevy stroker in there. It will be a rocket ship!!!

If the factory would have offered a V-8 in an XJ, they never would have sold any Grands. I've often thought of getting a Grand with a 5.9. I'm sure they get crappy mpg but, I'd still like to have one. Does anybody know what the first year of the Grand Cherokee 5.9 was?

I could not afford the gas that motor is more of a drag engine

but I would do a LS1 if I had the money
doing the work is easy paying for parts is hard
