Hey Friends,

I'm hoping someone can recommend a mechanic that specializes in general maintanace and upgrading older vehicles like the XJ. It's hard to find a good mechanic, and the best way is word of mouth. This is not for lift kit or those kind of specializations, but rather general maintanance.

An auto body rec would be welcomed too!

 

For a solid XJ mechanic in LA that actually knows older Jeeps, hit up Revolutionary Engineering in Eagle Rock. Those guys live and breathe XJs and MJs. They do everything from maintenance to full restos, not just bolt-on stuff.
For body work, it's a drive, but worth it. **Pomona Valley Auto Body** in Pomona. They deal with a lot of classic stuff and know how to make patch panels look right.
Stay away from the big chain shops with an XJ, they'll just get confused.
