Default Jeep Break In - Damage Help

So last night some #$%$#%ers tried to steal my Jeep:

1) Busted the stationary window in the rear passenger side door
2) Pried the lock barrel out of the front passenger side door
3) Chewed up the ignition switch area, and destroyed the key lock button in the steering column

Thankfully, the starter is dead and they were stupid. They made off with my 17 year old maintenance notebook, a CD, and some ketchup packets

The passenger side door, however, now has a nice oval hole where the lock used to be. Methinks this is an issue. Is this something an expert bodyworker can fix...or do I need a new door??

Also windows and the ignition switch area...expensive fixes?

Aww sorry to hear about your misfortune but luckily it's all fixable if you live near any decent junkyards. The window is fairly easy to replace. Just changed my passenger ones recently since they were scratched up pretty bad. I would just get a new door if it was me. The ignition is the hardest part but again with time you can fix it. Put a club on the thing for now and start it with a screw driver.

Here's a helpful video on how to replace that glass in the back from Matt at Bleepinjeep.

I've never done it, so I can't offer any advice. Hopefully the video will help out.
Good luck getting it put back together!

That freaking sucks dude, sorry to hear that people are scumbags.

You may be able to ghetto rig something like welding in a new plate behind the lock and body filling the outside, etc. but it would probably be easier and cheaper to just buy a used door. Depending what color you need it could be easy, but you can always get whatever color door and just have a shop paint it to match.

Thanks for the input, folks!

I'm going to take it to a couple local body shops to see what they say. I can easily find a new door frame locally if need be.

The new plate idea is good - will bring that up in discussion.
