Default Jeep Beach Buggy??

I am looking very forward to using our 99 jeep as a beach buggy to take it onto Assateague Island, MD to do surf fishing. Does anyone else use their Jeep on the beach-how hard is it to install a rod rock on the front?

I hate taking mine on the beach because I hate the salt. Rod Racks are easy to make from PVC pipe and u bolts. Made several over the years. I used bungee cords and 11/2" pipe for the holders and securing straps. These were mounted to a 2x8 or a 2x10 on the front with a couple bolts and wingnuts.

I would have to agree with blue. The salt would eat at the metal. All though if you dont mind the rust then having a cherokee with rod racks would be sweet. I love to fish.
