Mine will be in hand Friday. Planning on getting them painted and maybe installed over the weekend or by the latest next weekend....

Bought the Pre Runner for the front and the Stage 3 for the back....

My XJ is a 2K, not sure that matters so far as the install.....I noticed that I have to trim up the rear sides a bit.

Looking for tips or issues that anyone may have ran into when installing these. I'm hoping to cure a vacume issue when I relocate the vacume bottle..........

 

PB blast the bolts. Its extremely simple to install bumpers so really all I can offer for advice is to PB blast the bolts the day before.

 

If your Jeep is anything like mine, screw the PB Blaster and have a torch ready; bolts aways break loose once you get them cherry red

Post some pictures and a review on the bumpers if you don't mind. GL!

 

Along those lines, get replacement bolts and nuts ready ahead of time for the rear. I broke about half of the bumper ones each time I have installed one.

Also be ready to hammer the front one into place, it can be a tight fit.

 

Make sure to post a pic, im trying to make my mind up if I want the pre runner bumpr or tires

 

Good call... Do that. Run down to Fastenal with a list.

 

Oh, and I don't remember if the instructions call for it but wait to but the tire swing out on until after the bumper is on, not having the extra weight will save you and your friends back.

I've done 2 JCR fronts and its a nice easy install just have a buddy around makes it a lot quicker

 

Picking up the primer, bed liner, and a quart of acetone tonight.

I'll dowload the instructions and come up with a list of nuts and bolts as well......I'll post pics once I have it all done.....may not be until next weekend. Will most likely prime and bed line them this weekend then put them on next weekend....

I just installed that Pre-Runner bumper from them last weekend and I have to say it was very easy. It helps when you have a friend when installing the bumper itself cus it weighs about 60-70 lbs. As for the vaccuum canister I just pulled the line off of the bottle and gorilla glued it shut. So far it has worked and everything is running normal. I hope everything works out for you. Also with the bolts, I didnt use anything to loosen them up and they all came out fine except for 1 bolt that snapped that holds in the steering box. Oh well I guess theres still 2 more that hold it in place. I hope everything turns out ok for you and good luck.

 

I didn't have any issues with bolts, but thats one of the nice things about the dryness out here. I just did the front and it couldn't have gone on easier, everything lined up great. I already had a CROK brace on one side so I kept it and then just used the unibody tie in on the passengers side.

Here is my finished product, I got the stage 3 no pre-runner for me.



So far I have been very pleased with it.

 

You must have went with the uni body tie in's I debated getting them but in the end decided not to.

So I shouldn't have to mess with the steering box at all....at least not according to the instructions....

Well UPS changed the delivery date for my front bumper to Monday.

I have the space heaters going in the garage now to warm it up before starting to prep the rear bumper and tire carrier for bed lining.....

Been awhile, but I finally have the bumpers all bedlined and ready to go on the Jeep.

The recent cold weather here really put a damper on the painting....

This weekend I'll be putting them on, will post a few pictures when they are on.....
