Never work under a vehicle without safety stands.
Cinder blocks are not safety stands, & jeeps are heavy.
I personally knew a kid who's parents came home to find him under his camaro with his head crushed under the right front brake rotor.
Seems that his cheap *** stock frame jack tipped over.
Floor jacks are cheap enough. My $35.00 Sam's club jack still works great, & I bought it in the late 1980's. Safety stands are even cheaper.
If you want to stay out of the ER or worse, it's gonna ultimately be up to you.

usually no matter how I have a vehicle supported, I always stick the tire/rim that I have removed under the vehicle near where I am working. That way if something does fail, or fall, it will land on the tire/wheel and not on me. Not to mention, have you ever tried to rejack something that has fallen and is sitting flat on the ground?
