For a cherokee all you need is a 2 ton jack but if you have a lift then I would go 3 ton cause its lift is higher. I would also look into jack stands. they usually come in a pair and you can pick up a cheap pair at harbor freight or advance auto parts

go for a 3ton jack, I went 2ton and I regret it even with out a lift,, you had to lift it at the axle for changing a tire,, the body was to tall. so go 3ton, also go with a 24" stans.. you will thanx me later.. the 16" ones are not enough...

If you have a harbor freight near you I would check them out. There super cheap if you dont mind that there cheaper tools. I have an engine lift that I bought from there thats 4 years old and still works great. And its been stored outside too.

A good 3 ton jack will do everything you need it to do. Like Belto said, the unibody rails on these Cherokees are much higher than most other vehicles, even stock, so if you don't have any crib blocks lying around, try to find some. They make life so much easier.

I bought my craftsman 3 1/2 ton floor jack about 5 years ago and its held up great. (came with jackstands). That set you mentioned should work great. Have fun!!
